On-line Fluid/Oil Monitoring
Impact Technologies has developed a fully integrated in-line/online fluid quality sensing technology for use in monitoring a wide variety of lubrication and hydraulic systems. The fluid quality sensor autonomously monitors overall oil fluid health using multiple sensing technologies that combine to provide strong diagnostic abilities. The patented backbone sensing technology uses broadband AC impedance measurements to determine changes in the fluid’s
electrochemical properties.

Flowtonics Inc., is the licensed dealer of Impact's customizable line of fluid quality sensors. The original products within the Flowtonics sensor family focus on fluids for mobility applications, such as engine oils within the automotive industry. Fluid contaminants that are detected are customized depending on specific application. For example, Flowtonics’ “oil quality” sensor has been designed to determine soot, moisture/water and fuel in the lubrication oil for diesel engine applications.
